Any length
Shorts, TikToks, Reels, full YouTube videos and whole book chapters. Long text can be split into episodes.
Start from an idea, a script, a document, a flyer or a Bible passage. Video wHale makes the pictures, narration, captions and music. You read and approve the narration before anything is paid for. It runs in your own Google account.
Two videos from the Video wHale YouTube channel: a full chapter of scripture brought to life, and a Short.
Everything below is in every plan unless it carries a Pro or Studio tag.
Shorts, TikToks, Reels, full YouTube videos and whole book chapters. Long text can be split into episodes.
A script, an idea, a document (.docx, .txt, .pdf or .md), a photo of a flyer, or a Bible passage.
Tick Use my exact words and the narrator says only what you wrote. You read and approve every line before any pictures are made.
Storybook, cartoon, cinematic, realistic, ultra-realistic photo, TV drama, period documentary and magazine illustration. Or use your own photos and video clips.
Each person gets a character sheet (front, three-quarter and close-up) that every scene is drawn from, so faces, hair and clothes carry over.
A free voice, Fish Audio or ElevenLabs, including your own cloned voice. Hear a voice before you pay for it, and fix how names are said.
Automatic, Bold pop, Word by word, Clean subtitles or Boxed, plus a .srt caption file and a transcript.
Automatic Shorts, a Hook Short, a thumbnail, YouTube chapter times, and titles, descriptions and tags. Shorts reuse your pictures and narration, so they cost nothing extra.
Redo just one picture or one line. After a disconnect, Continue picks up where it stopped and never pays twice.
Translate my video keeps the same pictures in a new language. World Pack makes many languages at once, each with its own narrator.
Take screenshots and screen recordings inside Video wHale. Write [SS-03] or [picture: the login screen] and the right picture lands in that scene.
What will it cost? gives a line-by-line price. Nothing is drawn or paid for until you approve the narration.
In the Guided tab, pick what you're making (a Short, a YouTube video, a long video or a presentation) and where the words come from. Choose a voice, a picture style and music.
The Director plans the scenes and shows the narration, one numbered line per picture. Change any words, check pronunciations, and see the price. Nothing is drawn or paid for until you approve.
Video wHale draws the pictures, records the voice and builds the video with captions, music, an end card and chapters, saved in your Google Drive. Then make Shorts or a Launch Pack.
Tonight is realistic. Setup takes about 30 minutes the first time: a Google account, a Gemini key with picture billing, and your license key. The guided first video then takes about 5–15 minutes and usually costs 30–40¢ in pictures.
Click here now and make your first video tonightColab has a free AI helper, Gemini, that opens in a panel next to the Video wHale Studio. You see both at once: the steps on one side, the helper on the other. It can read your notebook and its error messages, and you can send it screenshots.
Use it any time you're not sure what to click next.
Use it when a cell shows red text.
Attach a screenshot with your keys covered.
It isn't offered on every account or in every country. Put Colab and gemini.google.com side by side instead: on Windows press Windows key + Left arrow; on a Mac hover the green window button and choose tile left. Gemini on the web can also read the whole Video wHale Complete Guide PDF if you attach it.
Every section of the Video wHale Complete Guide ends with a copy-and-paste prompt (Getting ready · Installing · Your first videos · Advanced features). Paste one into Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude or Grok and it walks you through that section one step at a time, at your pace, in your language.
Never paste your license key, Gemini key or ElevenLabs key into any chat, and cover them in screenshots. Gemini is Google's helper, not the Video wHale team: if its answer doesn't match the guide, follow the guide. Inside the Studio, Help → Ask the Director also answers questions and reads screenshots.
Video wHale is a Studio file you open in Google Colab. Your work stays in your own Google Drive.
One limit to know: keep the Colab tab open and your computer awake while it works. Very long videos can outlast a free Colab session; just click Continue and it picks up where it stopped.

A hosted web version is on the way. It will cost more than these plans, because the computing will run on our servers instead of your own free Google account.

A Google account (free), a Gemini key (free from aistudio.google.com), your Video wHale license key (in your purchase e-mail) and the Studio file. The Setup Guide walks you through it.
To draw AI pictures, turn on billing for your Gemini key. Without billing, writing works but pictures will not.
Yes. In Colab, click the blue circle with the white star at the bottom of the Studio and Gemini opens beside your notebook. Paste one of the setup-help prompts first so it never changes your code. Every section of the Complete Guide also ends with a step-by-step AI helper prompt, and Help → Ask the Director inside the Studio answers questions and reads screenshots.
No. The work happens on Google's machines, not on your computer. A small laptop makes videos as fast as a gaming PC. Your computer only needs to keep the browser tab open and stay connected.
Colab runs in a web browser, so it can work. A computer with a keyboard is easiest, especially the first time.
No. Your work stays in your own Google Drive, and your keys stay in Colab's Secrets. Video wHale never asks for your password, and you never need to paste your keys anywhere except Secrets.
In Colab, click the key icon (Secrets) on the left. Add each key with the exact name below and switch Notebook access on. License: VIDEO_WHALE_KEY · Gemini: GEMINI_API_KEY · ElevenLabs: ELEVENLABS_API_KEY + ELEVENLABS_VOICE_ID · Fish Audio: FISH_API_KEY + FISH_VOICE_ID. After adding or changing a key, run STEP 1 again.
You pay each service directly. Planning and free voices cost nothing. AI pictures are about 4–7¢ each. A 1-minute Short is usually under $1; an 8-minute video about $2–3.50 in pictures. Prices are set by each service and can change.
Yes. The Review card shows an estimate, and What will it cost? gives a line-by-line price. Nothing is drawn or paid for until you approve the narration.
Yes: use only your own photos and clips with a free voice. No pictures are drawn, so nothing is charged.
Commercial use needs an ElevenLabs paid plan (Starter, about $6 a month). The free ElevenLabs plan is for personal use.
Any length: a Short under a minute, a YouTube video, or a long video such as a book chapter, course or sermon. Long text can be split into episodes.
Yes. Record 10–60 seconds of yourself reading clearly and put it in Drive → Video wHale → My Voice. In Colab, choose Runtime → Change runtime type → T4 GPU, then run STEP 1 again. Only use your own voice or one you have permission to use.
Your finished work is safe in Drive. Run STEP 1, open the Control Panel, open the same project and click Continue my last job. It skips every picture, voice line and video piece already made, so nothing is paid twice.
Up to 3 Google accounts per key.
STEP 1 will say the key no longer works and show the store link to renew. Your videos and projects stay in your Drive.
